Zia’s Story praised by The Children’s Book Review

Posted on

Tradewind Book’s new release, Zia’s Story, is listed as one of three recommended middle grade books about war, refugees, and survival for ages 7-12 by The Children’s Book Review.

This is a story about the confusion and hurt that befalls children impacted by violent political regimes and the hope that they hold for a better future elsewhere.

In the aftermath of the Taliban victory, many thousands of Afghans make the perilous journey to Pakistan—and some on to Canada—-seeking refuge. Zia and his mother are among them.
