The UK School Library Association published a review of When Morning Comes, by Arushi Raina, in the Spring 2018 edition of The School Librarian.
Sammie Steward wrote that, “Apartheid is a subject that, until now, has remained sorely under explored in young adult fiction. Raina’s account of the Soweto Uprising is compelling, and both the real and fictional elements of this superb debut provide a wealth of opportunities for classroom discussion, as well as packing a poignant emotional and educational punch.”
If you have access to The School Librarian, you may read the full review in Volume 66, Number 1 (Spring 2018), page 58.
